Little Patriots, our words are seeds. When we plant kind words, kind words come back to us. When we plant mean words, mean words will come back to us.

When a farmer plants corn, will you see watermelon growing? What will you see growing when a farmer plants corn?

Today we’re learning about a man named John Chapman. His friends called him Johnny Appleseed. He was born in Massachusetts. Let’s look on the map to find Massachusetts! The Star city there is Boston!

Everyone, let’s say “Boston” together.

Do you know which of the fifty states that you were born in? Let’s find it on the U. S map! Remember, each state has a different size and shape. It is unique like you.

Johnny Appleseed was also unique. You will enjoy the true story about Johnny Appleseed now!

The Bible says that “Our words are like apples of gold in settings of silver”. Let's ask the Holy Spirit to help us plant kind words and make the right choices!

Little Patriots do their best work. Emphasize the importance of coloring neatly. When they have completed the state, the bird and flower, place a gold star on the Capital City. This is the reward for a job well done.
